Protecting our People and our Community

Protecting our People and our Community

  • EVOTEK has discouraged all non-essential travel for employees.
  • There are no expected impacts to EVOTEK’s ability to support our customers.
  • All conference attendance has been suspended.
  • A business continuance pandemic task force created to assist employees, customers and partners.
  • Business continuance plans have been requested from our OEM’s to share with our customers.
  • EVOTEK is asking employees to stay home if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness of any kind.

As the coronavirus continues to spread around the world, the global economy is sure to feel an impact. Because of this, we have a civic responsibility to do our part locally, to help prevent further outbreaks within our community. Each of our employees has a role at home, at work and out in the marketplace to protect ourselves and loved ones from potential impacts.

The modern world depends on technology and system availability. At this time, we do not foresee any interruption to EVOTEK’s ability to support our customers. We have the ability to support 100% of our employees to securely work remotely if necessary. We are, however, working with our suppliers to understand how this global event has impacted their ability to fulfill product orders and services to our customers.

As of today, all non-essential travel has been suspended. This includes conferences, many of which have already canceled. We have also requested personal international travel to be canceled. If personal international travel is unavoidable, we have asked our employees to self-quarantine for 14 days upon return to the United States and prior to attending any work-sponsored events.

We have established a task force to monitor and communicate updates on this evolving situation. The task force will be responsible for everything from internal policies to helping our customers meet their supply chain business continuance requirements.

The world is counting on us to demonstrate leadership through this very difficult situation. There is nothing more important to us than our people and our community. In time and on reflection, we hope these preemptive attempts will be viewed as an over-reaction. Until then, we are treating this threat as credible and serious.

These steps are all in an effort to protect our community from pending threats, as preventative measures. If any employee is experiencing symptoms, please stay home. We will keep our employees, partners, and customers informed with any developments during this global situation. Thank you for supporting EVOTEK as we do our part.

Probably a wise move, and one where most clients and organizations will not fret about your decision....now we just have to find a decent meeting portal/software that actually works and doesn't act like it's own trojan on your computer opening up ALL sorts of ports/services :)
