To Protect and To Serve

In my career I have been lucky to meet some inspiring leaders and few individuals who wrongly thought they were of the same group.
The list of qualities of the true leaders is well documented. The same for the toxic, incompetent, arrogant managers.
I always asked myself what the main trait was to discriminate these two groups and I found one key element: service mindset
- Leaders consider themselves as responsible to serve others
- Others just want to be served
This came as a flash to me since I always asked myself the questions:
- How can I help ?
- What can I do right now to improve the situation ?
- Is this a fair decision I should support or fight ?
I always thought the group / team is more important than me and my role is to help it to achieve the best it can.
And you, how will you help your team today ?

3 年Happy to notice many of my former Indian colleagues liking this. I know I was a different kind of animal there but it worked.
