Protect Biggin Hill Chapel of Remembrance. Come on LinkedIn, lets get together and put some pressure on our MPs. This shouldn't be allowed to happen.
Hello Chapel Supporters,
As promised, we re-presented our petition, standing at 21,500, to the three Secretaries of State shortly after Remembrance Sunday.
In a supporting email we highlighted that the demolition of the Grade Two Listed Vestry, and now the works to start building the publicly opposed design of museum building, was progressing despite the fact that the Local Government Ombudsman has yet to complete his investigation into the Planning Application procedures. I also made the point that the London Borough of Bromley are, if not the wealthiest of Councils, one of the wealthiest, and have been granted nearly £2m in Heritage Lottery Funds to finance this 'divisive' scheme, obviously to the detriment of perhaps more 'worthy' projects in less affluent areas of the country. Surely none of this can be right!
I have not even received any acknowledgements! So please may I ask you to do a small thing and send this simple message to all the three Secretaries of State:
DEAR SECRETARY OF STATE, PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THE 'PROTECT BIGGIN HILL RAF CHAPEL OF REMEMBRANCE' PETITION.
Their email addresses at the Ministries are:
