UK fund sees distressed opportunities in US commercial real estate.
UK asset manager Prosperise Capital has incorporated Miami-headquartered CMBS investment firm PC2 Capital into its portfolio as it seeks to increase its exposure to the US market.
PC2 Capital, a private investment firm with a particular focus on distressed opportunities in office CMBS, was founded in 2020 by Pasquale Cardone II, a former CMBS and CRE CLO trader at Citi and Wells Fargo. He also has experience managing global bond portfolios at AllianceBernstein.
London-based Prosperise Capital has over $500m of assets under management across three markets: European distressed loans; carbon credit and real assets; and direct lending.
The acquisition marks the firm’s entry into the US commercial real estate market, which it sees as an area for strong future growth.
Prosperise also announced the hiring of two new partners: Dirk Rothig, who previously served as the head of treasury and financial markets at IKB Deutsche Industriebank; and Walter Dolhare, who was most recently the co-head of the corporate and investment bank at Wells Fargo.
