Prospects. We got them!

An interesting fact we reviewed yesterday, nearly 30% of our prospected and placed Tenants are previous Onyx Tenants or referrals from our current Tenant base. Our philosophy is simple; Tenants deserve a place where they are respected and treated kindly. More often than not, respected Tenants appreciate and take care of their unit, the common spaces and are kind to their neighbours. That respect does need to be mutual!  

We love being a part of life changes for our Tenant base. We are the first to celebrate and congratulate when they ask us if we know a Realtor as they are ready to purchase their first home. We are happy when we can place current Tenants in new units, like when a family needs to move to a two-bedroom unit as they are expecting a baby or when we can place a Tenant in a new unit, in a new city as they move into a career change.    

We grow easily frustrated when we hear that "Renters" are being treated poorly. Before home-ownership, I rented. As I am sure, most of us did. It was during a time where I faced some personal struggles, many changes and a lot of uncertainty. To this day, decades later, I remember the kindness that the Property Manager shared with me, they spoke to me like a person, not a commodity, gave me suggestions on places to eat and things to do as I was new to the area and away from friends and family. I have built our Property Management divisions with that in mind!
