′The Transport Research Arena Conference′ came to its end. These were exciting four days, full of presentations and exhibitions. IDIADA as a coordinator of ′PROSPECT - Proactive Safety for Pedestrian and Cyclists′ project (https://www.prospect-project.eu/) had a great honor to present our achievements on behalf of project team (involving most of the relevant partners from the automotive industry, including important active safety vehicle manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers as well as academia and independent test labs).
We were exhibiting at Market Place our POSTER, that explains main project milestones and results. This was underpinned by the general project presentation at the European Commission stand. Moreover, we have presented two publications on the podium:
· Topic: ′Safe, Secure and Resilient Transport Systems′,
Session: ′Safety of Vulnerable Road Users′,
Title of the publication: ′Advancing Active Safety towards the Protection of Vulnerable Road Users by Evolution of ADAS Solutios that Meet Real-World Deployment Challenges′,
Presenter: Maxim Arbitmann, Continental Teves, Germany
Co-authors: Andres Aparicio, Ilona Cieslik (IDIADA, Spain), Johann Stoll (Audi), Martin Kunert (Robert Bosch), Fabian Flohr (Daimler AG), Thomas Wimmer (activeSystems GmbH), Julia Br?utigan (Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt)), Dariu Gavrila (University of Amsterdam).
· Topic: ′Human Dimension in Transport′,
Session: ′Driving Behavior and Safety of Road Users′,
Title of the publication: ′Towards a Predictive Model of Driver Acceptance of Active Collision Avoidance Systems′
Presenter: David Robert Large, University of Nottingham, UK
Co-authors: Victoria Banks, Catherine Harvey, Gary Burnett (University of Nottingham)
Both publications can be found on ZENODO, together with PROSPECT previous papers:
