@ProShopERP Implementation Update

Less than a month into our training we’re live on a number of modules and using the ProShop ERP system to run parts of our business. Having committed to an aggressive implementation we’re delivering on the plan, support out of Adion Systems has been superb, we’ve had twice weekly 2 hour online training sessions that have allowed the team at @AZMF to get the knowledge of the system we needed, with lots of “homework” in between to gain the familiarity required to make doing things the ProShop ERP way instinctive.

Any system implementation requires commitment, changing how you’ve done things to how the system does things is the best way to take full advantage of the new systems capabilities. In my previous careers I’ve been involved in many ERP implementations in Europe, Asia and the US. My success "rule of thumb" is the more you can adopt the way the new system does things the quicker and easier your implementation is going to be, the more you cling to the way you did things in the past the longer and more complicated things get. I've lived through many, many examples of where the new system was changed to match the old way of doing things and lived first hand through the inefficiencies being perpetuated that this causes – we chose 100% adoption of the new system because 30 years of experience tells me that’s our best path to success!

So we’re live with estimating, quoting, Customer PO’s, work orders, outsourced processing and issuing Vendor PO’s. Next up we’re looking to get our accounting integration finalized so we can invoice through our existing accounting system and have a full closed loop. Then we dive into the Quality Management System in preparation for AS9100 certification.

@ProShopERP has been easy to learn and the support, a vital component of our success with the system, has been outstanding. The Adion Systems guys get it and are helping us achieve our goals!

One month in and we’re rocking and rolling and looking forward to getting the system fully implemented and maximising the efficiencies we can gain through a modern ERP system designed for our sector of business.
