PROS AND CONS OF WORKING AT UNDER UTILIZED PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

The cons of working at an under utilized post are very many and are well known so lets us discuss pros of this aspect. Although it is a known fact that working on an under utilized post is never an optional activity . The some of the pros are  listed as follows:

1.   The high standard and outstanding output.

2.   A source of grooming and inspiration for subordinates 

3.   A source of establishing high standard of bench marks for the employees working in the close vicinity

4.   Lot of spare time with employee so that some additional projects can be given to the employee

5.   A great source of guidance for the boss and colleagues at work place

6.   Organizations gets benefits of job rotation of that employee for the leave vacancies since employee has diversified training

7.   Organization gets a good resource for induction at higher post when ever a need arises.

8.   Employee is source of great help and bosses gets useful advises because of the employees experience for the step up posts.

9.    Organization is able to pay less and is able to get an experienced employee 

10.   Employee is able to give good productivity, means less with optimum input the employee is able to generate optimum output.

Note : Despite all above benefits of the subject matter based on my 28 years of experience of managing people and the organization I would still not recommend hiring of an employee for a under utilized post but if at all it is un-avoidable then both the employees and employers facing this type of situations should focus on these pros enlisted above.
