The real estate market is not always a market.
Just as property arbitrage is a specific part of the much broader picture.
With connotations of trading commodities such as a kilo of apples or a pair of Nike Dunks, the word 'market' is misleading at best.
Commodities are traded on price while homes are traded on value. Two distinctly different propositions.
Yes, there are definitely a group of people that would disagree (including property investors, accountants and buyers agents) where perhaps asset yield and risk management are mandatory boxes to tick in their next property acquisition...but on the whole buying and selling real estate is lead by the heart and backed up with emotions.
And understanding the 'value' is where the magic lies and will help you separate your biggest asset from a market which trades almost exclusively on price.
