Proper pimple popping technique
I get it. Those pesky pimples hanging out on your face telling everyone that you either have a whitehead a blackhead or a pimple that just won't go away. On average for a pimple to run its course you will have to wait six weeks to six months for it to clear on its own. I'm here to help you, figure out when it's okay to pop a pimple and how to properly pop.
1) Cleanse your face in a warm shower this is important to open the pores and prepare the skin.
2) Clean a sewing needle with rubbing alcohol before and after each poke.
3) Poke a pimple in the centre allowing there to be an exit for the bacteria, so it does not create more acne in the base of the pore or spread the bacteria to other areas.
4) Buy an extractor use the extractor rocking it gently back and forth to allow the bacteria to be removed. You will see some bacteria come out you do not want to see clear or blood that means you have gone too far and can potentially scar.
5) Not all pimples are alike. If you poke the pimple rock your extractor back and forth and nothing is coming leave it alone! Move on to the next area, do not continue to press poke or squeeze this is how deep-rooted scarring happens.
Second warning. With the extractor do not leave impressions you are pressing way too hard and will create scarring and irritation. It's not worth it.
6) If you are timid about doing your own extractions or concerned that you may create scarring. I suggest finding your local esthetician and requesting extractions from there they can work with you and removing what needs to be removed.
