COVID Comeback Tour Rolls On

Specifi’s 2020 “only show in town” covid comeback tour rolled into Leeds this week to deliver yet more safe and structured networking.

It’s always good to be in Yorkshire delivering what could be considered a home fixture with our base being just 35 miles south in Sheffield and this feelgood was further boosted by not only selling out both of our sessions but then achieving a 100% turn-out on the evening from Leeds’ finest Architects and Practices was the icing on the cake.

It’s fair to say that Yorkshire folk are often branded as limited communicators with phrases such as “ow do!”, “tarra”, “ey up!”, “sithee” and “nah then!” often being considered a conversation in themselves. Being a rather chatty Yorkshire lad myself I know how wrong this is and it is fair to say that on this occasion everyone involved was definitely ‘up for it’, energised, happy, and grateful to be able to reconnect accepting covid safe event measures as a small price to pay to talk projects, pipeline and products with like-minded built environment professionals once again.

So, what have we learned since my last post?? 

Getting out there and doing our thing against such a backdrop of industry support and enthusiasm from suppliers and specifiers alike has built a confidence and momentum to continue to deliver these currently unique opportunities in our sector. Our learnings and hopefully those of our early adopters are to obviously continue to carefully monitor and measure the situation but seize the day, making the most of these opportunities rather than looking at the calendar and wondering when in the future to get back out there when the likelihood is that current covid protocols we are delivering within will still be in place over many months to come!

and finally, on another positive note …

The current situation has also presented a rare opportunity for Specifi to use and endorse one of our customer’s products for a change rather than just provide the platform. Whilst designing our new format a discussion with Furnitubes allowed us to use and showcase their new and more stylish than most Foot-Pedal Sanitiser Dispenser across our events.
