The Proof is in the Mustang. The Results after Publicly Posting my Goals for 2020.
At the beginning of 2020, I posted my goals publicly for the first time. I read about others using this strategy as a “psychological” hack to keep yourself considerably more motivated than if you simply wrote your goals down. Well after one year of experimentation, the proof is in the Mustang. As a reward for exceeding my most important goals, I decided to treat our family to a 1965 Fastback Mustang (one of the most iconic Mustangs of all time) and one of my dream cars. While I didn’t achieve every single goal I set for 2020, I exceeded all the major ones. Overall, I would say that this experiment was a V8 sized success!
In order to keep the momentum rolling into 2021, I will be publicly posting my goals in another article. If you’re looking to make 2021 your most successful year ever, I challenge you to share your goals publicly too. Is anyone out there brave enough to post their goals? Tag me if you do!
