Prompt generation will not be a worry. Mostly.
AI is smart enough to create. It often produces answers, pictures and other outputs which surprise us and let us gaze in wonder at its abilities to process and derive new information from old information. It is designed (or arguably designs itself) to be better each time it generates.
Your prompts become more data AI consumes to create more AI to consume more prompts.
This makes the next round of prompts more easily understood, analysed and better suggestions or outputs created.
Detailed upskilling on prompt generation will be time wasted in the future - and I do not think this seed change will be so far into the future.
Will Chat GPT 5 be the wave of AI which knows what we want?
Will we ask "how do I do that thing that I mentioned earlier, but better and for my boss"?
The AI will say, "Did you mean: How can I produce a business plan to present myself to my boss and a room full of senior members of the company. I want to show my proficiency in leadership and forward planning, to grow my department and team at a rate of between 10 - 20% per year?"
Yes, AI. Yes I did.
(Image with thanks to an AI which, when not typing text, cannot draw text. I quite like the accent though.)
