My experience with Prompt engineering:

I have used open ai, bard, midjourney, leonardo, lovo, aiva, tome.app, Dalle, RunwayML, D-iD, HeyGen, try promptly, Synthetic users and the list goes on. I have used for financial analysis, content, development, research, art, poem, video, audio, pre-sales pitch, process automation, music, presentations etc., The dependency on many people or roles has completely reduced and as an individual I can do at least 4 to 7 roles with these incredible ai tools all because of prompt engineering. How does this sound to you? Hence, the risk of combining multiple roles into one, which leads to layoffs. You now choose where you want to be and how you can add value to your role.

Here is what i have learnt to give a good prompt:

Provide a context for OpenAi and add the task you want to OpenAi to do, give instructions step by step, provide the data for it to provide the output (content, code, image, analysis etc.,). Assign a role to the ai so that it is relevant to your expectation of the output for e.g., content creator, artist, proofreader, analyst, developer, author, blogger, strategist, marketer etc.,

Keep refining the prompt till you get to the right output. Give references, and influencers, or famous personalities in those fields so you can get better content or output generated.

For image creation provide the image reference, text prompt, and parameters like lighting, 3d, photo realistic, cinematic, and negative prompt what it should not do. This gives a clear guidance for the tool to generate the desired output.

For creating AI based videos - create an image, add the script, and use the ai video creating tools to generate the videos. You can edit, remove unwanted content, delete the long pause etc., make the videos better and engaging.

I have been having a great time with these tools and experimenting every day. I could create presales videos, poem, edit videos, content, art, etc., I am working a project where I am using the AI tools end to end for the entire creation.

Are you worried about the disruption caused by these AI tools?

This space is growing fast and every day something new is coming and better than the previous versions. It is difficult for everyone to know everything, but it is a crime if you are not aware, and you have not adopted these tools. The only way you can save your roles is by getting hands to these tools and make your work fast, and better. Increase your value and productive. Like I mentioned earlier, I could play 7 roles with these tools. In my project where I would need at least 5 roles, I am single handedly working on it.
