Promotions Don't Fall from Heaven: Why Kindness Matters at Work

It's likely that you've heard the proverb "One good turn deserves another." This idea beyond common courtesy; is a fundamental tenet of many religions, including Christianity—it is derived from the Bible.

Even God works through others to bestow gifts upon us; he does not do so directly. All systems in the world, including banks and corporations, are governed by men and women. However, the Bible claims that God is in control of these leaders' hearts (Proverbs 21:1). He has the ability to encourage generosity in others by putting you in their path for favor.

Proverbs 21:1 "In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him."

How then do we feel this beautiful arrangement? by being a blessing yourself! Behaving kindly toward others sets off a chain reaction. Our kind gesture may inspire that individual to return the favor, ultimately impacting a great number of lives.

Think about this: Consider your personal career path. Did you receive a promotion out of the blue? Probably not. One or more of your coworkers, clients, or supervisors may have seen your potential and encouraged you to go further. Your professional path was shaped positively by them.

The reminder of how interrelated everything is in our world is potent. Regardless of one's status, treating others with respect and gratitude is not only polite behavior; it's essential to fostering an environment that is encouraging and helpful. We make room for benefits to come to us when we bless others.

Together, let's spread blessings and observe how the world gets happier!
