Everything good begins with love, true love I mean, and so does this story! I came across the book rather per chance and I read it with pure curiosity. Well, I fell in love with it, like a ton of bricks. I felt tears in my eyes, many times, while reading the original text; a modern-day Persian love- story written by Chista Yasrebi. I commissioned myself to write a contemporary translation of the book. I believe beauty is in simplicity and Chista’s style in writing is just that; simplicity flavored with honest-to-goodness faith and courage, in all prudence. This book excited me and I feel honored to take the challenge.

The mailman is a love story of a young couple who had their lives in their hands to sacrifice for each other, they could move mountains just to be together, every cell in their body was begging for each other as they ride on a turbulence of cultural and social dilemmas, and more. All they ever wanted from this world was to let them be, and to love each other. The story starts in a neighborhood in Tehran and goes on through adventures that extends to parts of Europe and the Middle East, under war; wars so cruel to destruct and to kill, to trade genocide with despair, and to abandon love for hatred and revenge. /
