Promoting Inclusive behaviours and creating a sense of Belonging

LGBTQ+ is a key component of diversity and inclusiveness at EY. We strongly advocate bringing one’s true self to work and be comfortable in doing so.

In my role as an Ally and a member of the EY GDS D&I council, I had the privilege of supporting a transgender team member come out to his team; it was heartened to witness the applause and encouragement from the entire team acknowledging his journey.

I believe that the first step in showing your support is to build your awareness on the different facets of the LGBTQ+ community. EY signed the global UN LGBTI Standards for Business earlier this year and EY GDS has run multiple webinars to create awareness and encourage people to sign up as Allies. 

This is excellent and am confident that you would give your best to this role as well.
