Promoting Fresno's Greatness Part 2

During our visit to the State of Jalisco, we?met with the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Guadalajara, Raúl Uranga Lamadrid, in which we agreed to jointly promote opportunities for economic development and international trade for companies that reside in the State of Jalisco and want to export their products to the State of California and vise versa.

We would like to thank the Governor of the State of Jalisco Enrique Alfaro, for his interest and support to the entire migrant community that resides in the Central Valley. We were able to hold a working meeting at Casa Jalisco with the General Strategic Coordinator of the Cabinet of Development and Economic Growth in the Government of the State of Jalisco, Xavier Orendain; and with the Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology of the State of Jalisco, Alfonso Pompa; where we agreed to train women entrepreneurs living in the State of Jalisco through the different courses and workshops currently offered by the Foundation, as well as work on tourism promotion so that families in the State of Jalisco find in Fresno a new option to vacation and enjoy the different points of interest.

Likewise, we met with the Rector of the Universidad Panamericana, José Antonio Esquivias Romero, where they agreed to carry out a series of activities with Fresno State University so that students can travel from Fresno to Guadalajara and thus promote academic, sports and cultural programs that allow them a better development.

We also accompanied President Saúl Jiménez Sandoval, to the signing of the collaboration agreement between the State University of California in Fresno and the Autonomous University of Guadalajara to continue jointly promoting academic development; the exchange of students and teachers; and to establish new programs that strengthen research and innovation, especially in the areas of health and agriculture.

We look forward to creating and strengthening these relationships to continue to promote Fresno's greatness worldwide.
