The 2022 Adelante Gala was held on April 27th to celebrate the accomplishments of the Latino Economic Development Council (LEDC) in promoting economic growth, capital improvements, and workforce development for Latino entrepreneurs and businesses. These facts and many more demonstrate the significant contributions of Latinos to the country's culture, economy, and society.

Rafael discussed the Adelante II South Omaha project, which aims to create a more inclusive and prosperous community towards the revitalization of the historic South 24th Street and La Plaza de la Raza. The project includes the establishment of a new Latino Economic Development Center, the construction of a mixed-income housing complex, a three-level parking structure with first-floor retail, and the redesign of the Plaza de la Raza. These initiatives are all integral to achieving the project's goal of promoting economic growth and opportunity for Latino entrepreneurs and businesses in the South Omaha area.
