Since the beginning of 2024, Siem Reap has experienced a surge in tourists from around the globe. From January to October alone, the city welcomed 774,203 international tourists, reflecting the growing appeal of Cambodia as a travel destination. Countries such as China, the United States, Britain, France, and South Korea have emerged as the top five contributors to this influx, solidifying Cambodia’s position on the global tourism map.
Additionally, the Skyscanner Travel Trends 2025 report revealed that Siem Reap is now the top destination Australians want to visit in 2025, with interest increasing by an impressive 529%.
Since the opening of the new Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport, the city has seen a remarkable boost in accessibility, welcoming over 14,556 flights and 1,300,048 passengers—a significant increase from the previous year.
This steady stream of visitors continues to enhance Siem Reap’s reputation, boost the local economy, and open doors for new opportunities in real estate investment. The positive outlook for Siem Reap was echoed at the “2024 One Vision, One Siem Reap” event hosted at Rose Apple Square in July, highlighting the city’s bright future as a hub for tourism and development.
