FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE:

Psalm 91:16

“With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

HOLY SPIRIT, HAVE YOUR WAY.

TOPIC: THE PROMISE OF LONG LIFE .

Today's foundation Scripture powerfully promises that God will rescue those who take refuge in Him, deliver them from harm, and satisfy them with long life and give them salvation through Christ.

But have you considered why God desires to grant you long life?

It's not just so you can enjoy more years with family and friends. God has a purpose for every year He gives. When He sustains you into old age, it signifies there is still kingdom work left for you to accomplish. Your life is intended to bear fruit well into your later decades.

Consider figures like Abraham, Moses, Elizabeth and Zechariah in the Bible. God used them powerfully to build His Kingdom in their elderly years. The promise of long life is a call to serve God's purposes for as many years as He gives you breath.

You have gifts, talents, wisdom and experiences that can profoundly shape the next generation. The longer God grants you to live, the longer He provides open doors to share His truth and love with others. Your longest and best years may still be ahead!

May this promise of long life spur you on in God's work day by day. Make it your aim to serve Him with your life, your profession and career as long as you have strength.

Be open and willing to bless others, no matter your age. God promises to satisfy us with long life as we choose to walk faithfully with Him.
