A prominent scientist from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology guides one of the research teams of CPSBB

We are very proud that the prominent scientist from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology - Dr. Saleh Alseekh- headed our new department "Crop Quantitative Genetics"!

Dr. Alseekh will guide our research team through the fascinating journey for the relization of the NatGenCrop project!

The ambitious project aims at improving crop resilience to abiotic and biotic stress, also developing new strategies for the improvement of their nutritional properties.

Dr. Alseekh and the team prepared today some samples of pepper and tomato fruits from the plantations, grown in our greenhouse facilities, for further metabolite and genetic analysis! The samples will be stored in liquid nytrogene containers, ready to be used for detailed analysis.

We are impatient to share future results of this exciting project!
