Mutual Housing California announced Wednesday that CEO Roberto Jimenez was leaving to lead a new public housing authority in Seattle.

Sac State suspends MBA for executives program
California State University-Sacramento has suspended a once-popular business program aimed at executives due to low enrollment.
A notice on the College of Business’ website said that its Master of Business Administration for Executives program was on hiatus. It will not be offered during the fall 2024 or spring 2025 semesters. Read more
Buca di Beppo closes a local restaurant
Italian restaurant chain Buca di Beppo has permanently closed its longtime Arden-Arcade location, several years before its lease was set to expire.
The restaurant, best known for serving family-style Italian fare, opened the location at 1249 Howe Ave. in September 1999, marking the area's first site for the chain. The restaurant filled an approximately 8,550-square-foot, two-story?former bank building?at the southwest corner of Hurley Way and Howe Avenue near Cal Expo. Read more

Update on West Jackson Highway Master Plan
One of the master plan developments on Sacramento County's "Jackson Corridor" is moving toward final votes for approval in the next six months.
Through Sept. 9, the county will take comments on a draft environmental impact report for West Jackson Highway, a 5,913-acre project planned for more than 16,000 residential units east of the city of Sacramento. Read more
Propel Fuels' lawsuit against oil giant gets court date
After more than two years of litigation, the lawsuit filed by Propel Fuels against petroleum company Phillips 66 Co. has a court date for a jury trial.
Sacramento-based renewable fuel company Propel sued the Houston-based oil giant, alleging Phillips appropriated Propel's trade secrets during due diligence for an acquisition that never occurred.
Propel is seeking more than $1 billion for compensatory damages, which could be eligible for treble damages. Read more
