Today, we're excited to introduce Lady Militante, the Associate Director of Performance Improvement Operations. Her healthcare journey is fueled by a deep-seated desire to serve our members and navigate the complexities of healthcare with them. Tell us about your career path at Prominence.

I joined the Prominence Health team a little over five years ago as the Performance Improvement Coordinator, initially overseeing the Prominence Health Assessment Program and later taking on the Prominence Perks Program. When management decided to establish our outreach team for Prominence Health Assessment scheduling, I was promoted to Performance Improvement Manager. Starting with just one team member, our success led to team expansion, taking on more campaigns for the Outreach and Perks team. Continuously exceeding our KPIs paved the way for my current position as the Associate Director of PI Operations. Today, I take great pride in managing four teams – Outreach, Perks, PCP Enablement and Chart Operations – under the Performance Improvement umbrella, with a dedicated team of 44 full-time employees.

Are there any projects or initiatives at Prominence that you are particularly passionate about?

The Prominence Health Assessment, Welcome Calls and Prominence Perks Program are at the forefront. These campaigns provide a more personal connection with our members. Knowing that we are delivering exceptional care and service to our members through enriched plan benefits has not only fueled my love for what I do but also serves as motivation to make a lasting impact within the organization.

What is your proudest accomplishment so far??

I am most proud of the teams I work with. Each team member is talented and passionate about the work that they do. Knowing that I was able to help develop and mentor them professionally and be able to watch them reach their full potential, succeed, and grow within the organization will always be my proudest accomplishment.

What are your interests or hobbies outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and my two dogs. I also enjoy traveling, shopping, and cooking.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In five years, I envision myself still at Prominence, continuing to develop my skills and knowledge to take on more responsibilities within the company.

If you could have dinner with any historical figure or fictional character, who would it be and why?

It would be none other than Princess Diana. After all, I was named after her. To me, she transcends being just a princess married to a rule-breaking prince. She was a devoted mother who prioritized time with her children above all else. Additionally, her timeless fashion sense and passionate advocacy for children and AIDS make her truly inspiring.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

I would tell myself that it’s okay to make mistakes. It’s a good thing, especially if there’s a lesson to be learned. Those mistakes don’t define you; instead, use them to develop yourself, ensuring you don’t repeat them in the future. The key is to get better with each experience.?
