Meet June's Prominence Powerhouse, Justin Rodriguez! As a Manager of Member Services, Justin leads the Referral Coordination and the ACO Outreach teams at Prominence Health. Justin’s department coordinates medical specialty referrals and schedules preventive care visits to Medicare members on behalf of 19 clinical offices covering over 120 Primary Care Physicians across the southern Texas regions. What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare?

My father's illness deeply influenced my decision to pursue a career in healthcare. His health challenges ignited a strong desire to understand how to provide him with the best possible care, motivating me to follow a path in the healthcare field.?

?Prominence Health stands out to me because it exceeds the traditional role of an insurance company, prioritizing the well-being of its members and employees. From the beginning, I recognized it as the perfect fit for me. It has facilitated my professional growth and enabled me to support others in reaching their aspirations.

Do you have a favorite or impactful member story you can share?

?We recently had a member diagnosed with cancer who struggled to schedule an oncologist appointment. Despite challenges in obtaining the necessary documents, we secured them and expedited her consultation within the week. She expressed immense gratitude for our support. Our team is dedicated to providing swift resolutions and timely responses to all member inquiries, ensuring we are always available to assist.

Are there any projects or initiatives at Prominence that you are particularly passionate about?

Since joining the referral team at Prominence in July 2022, I've witnessed remarkable growth and impact. Initially, we served three offices and managed fewer than 600 referrals monthly. Today, our reach extends to 19 offices, handling nearly 10,000 referrals each month. Beyond the numbers, our focus is on delivering exceptional quality and heartfelt dedication to our patients' well-being.

What is your proudest accomplishment so far?

One of my most significant achievements has been transitioning from a supervisor role to a management position. This progression has not only fostered my professional development but has also empowered me to inspire and support my team members in their career advancement journeys. The

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

My favorite pastime is spending quality time with my nephews, Julien and Jayden. Whether at the park, enjoying movies together, or adventuring to exciting destinations, they keep me happily occupied daily!

If you could have dinner with any historical figure or fictional character, who would it be and why?
