Since joining the Prominence Health team in 2022, Arturo’s commitment to professional growth and alignment with our company’s mission and values have been evident every step of the way. Tell us about your background and what inspired you to work at Prominence Health.

I was a carpenter for over 18 years and was ready to slow down and enjoy time with my family. I fell into a facilities position and have been a Facilities Coordinator for over 10 years now. I chose Prominence Health for my career because of my ability to grow within the company. Prominence Health aligns with my personal values and is a reputable company in Reno-Sparks.

You do so much to support our team at Prominence. What is the most rewarding part of your job?

As the Facilities Coordinator, I love solving the day-to-day problems that arise. This allows me to provide my team with a safe and comfortable work environment.

What does your day-to-day look like?

My day-to-day is never the same, which is why I love my position! Every day I get to meet new people and work on new projects all for a great company!

What brought you to Reno? What do you enjoy most about living here?

My family and I came to Reno from Las Vegas in 2001 to be closer to family, the mountains, and the beautiful Lake Tahoe.

What is your proudest achievement so far in life?

My proudest achievement in life has been raising my 3 children.

Can you share a memorable experience you've had and how it impacted your perspective on life?

Meeting my wife forever changed my perspective on life. She changed my perspective on love, balance, and family.

Any fun facts about yourself that we may not know?

For 18 years, I dedicated myself to the craft of carpentry, with 16 of those years spent in the Carpenters Union. In my free time, I love spending time with my two granddaughters and watching soccer!

If you could go back in time, what advice would you give to your younger self?

I would have told my younger self to listen to my parents more!
