Exploring Prometheus & Grafana for Linux Server Monitoring

I recently completed a mini-project to set up monitoring on Linux servers using Ansible playbooks. This project configures Prometheus, Node Exporter, and Grafana for robust server monitoring.

?? Roles:

  • Prometheus: Installs and configures Prometheus on the master node.
  • Grafana: Installs and configures Grafana on the master node.
  • Node-exporter: Installs and configures Node Exporter on worker nodes.

?? Prerequisites:

  • Ansible installed locally
  • SSH access and sudo privileges on target hosts
  • Encrypted sudo password file using Ansible Vault
