Improving Passenger Experience One Help Point At A Time
West Midlands Trains operates both West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway services across more than 150 stations, serving commuter, intercity, and tourist routes throughout the region.
In 2022, West Midlands Trains embarked on an ambitious new project to upgrade all of their passenger Help Points across their entire estate with the installation of brand-new devices at all of these stations. These new devices will provide both West Midlands Trains and its passengers with a vastly improved passenger experience from one of two types of Help Points; standard, white, round versions and fully Interactive, large touchscreen versions which
also provide real-time train and journey planning information.
Phase one is now well underway with the installation of the first 75 devices and phase two will follow on throughout 2023.
Ray Chan, from West Midlands Trains, said:
“Keeping our passengers informed as they travel is a priority for us and these smart new help points represent a real improvement in the provision of live information at our stations.
“We have already had some very positive feedback on the new screens and we are delighted to be working with Commend to roll out the facilities across our network.”
Further information and progress updates will follow on as the project unfolds throughout 2023. Follow us on LinkedIn to stay up to date with all things project watch and to find out more on what Commend has to offer!
