# SunScreen By SunSiteVR: A Design Report

## Problem Statement

Imagine you could see 1 second into the future before it happens. Imagine you could anticipate the actions and reactions of the people and things around you. Imagine you could plan your next move with confidence and ease. This is the vision of SunScreen, a device that anticipates and displays the future events in the user's environment, similar to how chatgpt can anticipate and generate text.

SunScreen is a product of SunSiteVR, an extended reality (XR) company that specializes in virtual (VR), augmented (AR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies. SunSiteVR aims to create immersive and interactive experiences that enhance the user's perception and cognition of reality. SunScreen is one of their latest innovations, a screen that can render 3D graphics and audio of the future state of the user's environment, before it actually occurs.

The problem that SunScreen addresses is the uncertainty and unpredictability of the real world, which can cause stress, anxiety, confusion, and frustration for the user. ## Design Process

The design process of SunScreen involved the following steps:

- Research: The team conducted a literature review and a market analysis to identify the existing technologies and products related to SunScreen, such as chatgpt, Google Glass and Oculus Quest. The team also conducted a user survey and a focus group to understand the user's needs, expectations, and preferences for SunScreen.

- Ideation: The team brainstormed and generated various ideas and concepts for SunScreen, using techniques such as mind mapping, sketching, and prototyping. The team evaluated and selected the best ideas and concepts based on the design objectives and specifications.

- Development: The team developed and tested the prototype of SunScreen, using tools and methods such as CAD, 3D printing, and Arduino. The team also developed and tested the software of SunScreen, using tools and languages such as Python, TensorFlow, and Unity. The team iterated and improved the prototype and the software based on the feedback and results.

- Evaluation: The team evaluated the performance and usability of SunScreen, using metrics and methods such as accuracy, speed, reliability, satisfaction, and observation. The team also evaluated the impact and feasibility of SunScreen, using metrics and methods such as cost, benefit, risk, and SWOT analysis. The team collected and analyzed the data and reported the findings and recommendations.

## Design Results

The design results of SunScreen are:

- SunScreen can anticipate and display the future events in the user's environment, with an accuracy of 85% and a speed of 10 seconds.

## Design Evaluation

The design evaluation of SunScreen revealed the following strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats:

- Strengths: SunScreen is a novel and innovative device that can anticipate and display the future events in the user's environment, using artificial intelligence, infrared, and photogrammetry. SunScreen is user-friendly, portable, and affordable. SunScreen can enhance the user's perception and cognition of reality, and provide them with a glimpse of the future.

- Weaknesses: SunScreen is dependent on the quality and availability of the infrared and photogrammetry systems, which can be affected by factors such as weather, lighting, and interference. SunScreen is also limited by the accuracy and speed of the artificial intelligence, which can be influenced by factors such as data, noise, and bias. SunScreen can cause some side effects for the user, such as eye strain, headache, and nausea.

- Opportunities: SunScreen has a potential market of millions of users who are interested in XR technologies and products, such as chatgpt, Google Glass, and Oculus Rift. SunScreen can also create new markets and applications for XR technologies and products, such as education, entertainment, sports, and travel. SunScreen can also collaborate and partner with other XR companies and organizations, such as Facebook, Microsoft, and NASA.

- Threats: SunScreen faces competition from other XR technologies and products that offer similar or better features and functions, such as chatgpt, Google Glass, and Oculus Rift. SunScreen also faces challenges from legal, ethical, and social issues, such as privacy, security, and regulation. SunScreen also faces risks from technical, financial, and operational issues, such as malfunction, loss, and damage.

## Conclusion

SunScreen is a device that anticipates and displays the future events in the user's environment, similar to how chatgpt can anticipate and generate text. SunScreen employs two main technologies: infrared and photogrammetry. Infrared can be used to sense the thermal radiation emitted by objects, as well as their distance, motion, and shape. Photogrammetry can be used to measure the dimensions, shape, and location of objects, as well as their texture and color. By using infrared and photogrammetry, SunScreen can capture the current state of the user's environment and generate a 3D simulation of the future state of the user's environment. To anticipate what will happen next, SunScreen uses artificial intelligence to analyze the data collected by the infrared and photogrammetry systems. Artificial intelligence can learn from the user's behavior, preferences, and intentions, and generate realistic and plausible scenarios of what the user will do next. To display the anticipated state to the user, SunScreen uses a screen that can render 3D graphics and audio. 3D graphics are visual representations of objects or scenes in three dimensions, using techniques such as shading, lighting, and perspective. Audio is the sound that accompanies the visual representation, such as speech, music, or sound effects. By using a screen, SunScreen can present the 3D simulation of the future state of the user's environment to the user, before it actually occurs.
