PRESIDENT TRUMP MAKES A DEBT DEAL WITH DEMOCRATS

Congress will raise the debt ceiling and keep the government open until mid-December. The president met with congressional lawmakers in both parties at the White House Wednesday and sided with Democrats in the end. The deal will fund Hurricane Harvey aid but also sets up a complicated end-of-year to-do list for Congress.

TOYS "R" US REPORTEDLY WEIGHING CHAPTER 11

The storied toy retailer is considering filing for bankruptcy again and has reportedly hired a law firm to help restructure about $400 million in debt, according to CNBC. The company is struggling, with competition from online retailers such as Amazon and big box stores such as Wal-Mart driving down prices. Toys "R" Us reported a loss of $164 million in its last quarter and will post its latest earnings report at the end of the month. It would be the second time the company filed for bankruptcy, having done so in December 2008.

T-MOBILE IS GIVING CUSTOMERS FREE NETFLIX

The duo are getting together for a major bet on bingeing. The wireless provider will give future (and existing!) Family Plan Unlimited subscribers free access to stream videos starting on September 12th. The price of the plan will remain the same, $40 per line, for up to 4 lines. Customers with two or more lines are eligible and will get access to up to two HD Netflix streams simultaneously. That usually costs $9.99 a month. T-Mobile CEO John Legere sees it as a strategic move against competitors like Verzon and AT&T.
