Project to be proud of
We had a think about which projects we were most proud of and Toby came up with this one:
"The Mall project in Walthamstow has been rewarding, and not just for sheer endeavor and getting it over the line! Over 4 years, the masterplan proposals evolved from conception to a full planning application submission with consent achieved in July 2018. Whilst the ultimate planning decision was politically led, a lot of hard work went into reaching an agreed position with Waltham Forest Highway officers and TfL; with input from Directors (overall project guidance), Design Managers Graham and Paul (numerous iterations of design drawings), our Transport Planner (traffic flow analysis for ES Chapter) and Assistant Transport Planner (PERS audit) - the project had a positive outcome.
Working on this project also offered the unique opportunity to work closely with the client and the majority of wider project team members including architects, landscape architects, planners, shopping centre manager, environmental and cost consultants. The positive planning outcome of The Mall reflects a team effort and the client is now looking to engage us on the Section 278 detailed design work which is great!"
