Project Managers should have Technical Knowledge?

Having technical knowledge can be beneficial for a project manager, especially if they are working on a project that is highly technical in nature. However, it is not always a requirement for a project manager to have deep technical expertise.

A project manager's primary focus is on managing the project as a whole, including planning, organizing, controlling, and leading the project team. They are responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets the specified objectives.

That being said, having a basic understanding of the technical aspects of the project can be helpful in effectively communicating with team members, understanding project requirements, and making informed decisions. It can also help the project manager identify potential risks and issues early on and work with the technical team to address them.

Ultimately, the most important qualities for a project manager are strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Technical knowledge can be a valuable asset, but it is not always a requirement for success in the role.
