You’ve identified the perfect Project Management tool, purchased a license, uploaded data, and excitedly presented it at your team meeting — only to be met with the enthusiasm you'd give the coffee you left on your desk on Friday. ???

What an uphill battle you have to get adoption. So how do you turn things around?

This question sparked a great discussion during last week's webinar "Get Your Project On Track".

Attendees also shared some fantastic insights:

  • Engage them in the selection and set up
  • Sell the benefits - e.g. time saved, etc.
  • Highlight the opportunity for the team to develop new skills
  • Show you understand the issues that need to be solved
  • Get them to vote on their favourite tool
  • Introduce it as a solution to the team's difficulties
  • Talk through the things the system won't be able to do and then empower to find compromise solutions

The tool should be central to the progress of the project
