Project Management for Heritage Managers
Online Workshop
9 -11 December 2022
APPLICATION DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 13,?2022
Project Management is a skill that many take for granted and is often underrated in its importance, but it affects every aspect of our work. The purpose of this intensive 3-day online training is to show the pathway for running a successful project from inception, through the planning and implementation phases to closure. Each project we work on is different and faces unique problems and that is why effective project managers need to be thoughtful, flexible, and communicative. However, by following the pathway, this training can help us understand how to make sure we get our project completed on time, to the quality desired, and within budget, by proper planning and tight control. This training focuses on those working in the heritage, environmental or social action fields, but can equally be used to work on any project by showing how important planning is. It demonstrates how to define the scope of your project and to use tools such as the work breakdown structure, critical path diagram, and the Gantt chart, to make sure that your projects are successful. By the end of this training, you will have learned all the skills necessary to become a well-organized project manager
This workshop is instructed by Tim Healing, independent project consultant at?Tim Healing Project Management LLC.
