In a civil engineering project there are multiple activities of an integral nature. For this, it is necessary to apply project management methods and manage each step. This will ensure that all short-, medium- and long-term objectives are met.?
Project Management must focus on: strategy and business value, management tools and leadership. This is done to achieve a quality result, in the shortest possible time and investing the minimum amount of resources. In the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) guide, the people who perform these key positions must meet some skills, such as:
What are some agile methodologies for project management?
1.Extreme Programming (XP)
It was created in 2000 by Kent Beck. It is used in projects with deadlines, and its purpose is to achieve a quick decision for the scheduling of activities, between the client and the work team. It seeks to obtain agreements easily and to adapt to changes.?
2.Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM)
It was proposed in 1994 and is designed as a dynamic process. This methodology keeps the life cycle of the project hidden, so the client must always be informed, in order to prepare for changes. It includes business study, feasibility study, functional modeling, design and construction.

3.Scrum
It is the methodology that allows dealing with complex projects, which integrate flexibility and effective speed in obtaining results. Its incremental development methodology allows it to be a chaos methodology, the final product is divided into small projects with different stages of: analysis, development and testing.?
4.Kanban
It is also called "visual card" and is useful for project managers. A chart or diagram reflects three columns of tasks; pending, in process or finished. All team members should be aware of this chart to avoid repeating tasks.?
Using these methodologies will allow you to carry out your projects optimally, in the best possible time and under the necessary specifications.?
