#projectlogistics #projectcargo What does the future hold?

What role does project logistics play in the scheme of determining mobilization feasibility to ultimate site? A very important one.

Remote areas with geophysical and infrastructure restrictions? No infrastructure present due to location? Billion-dollar project spend needed to extract raw materials to process identified? How to get it built & how to get the golden eggs to market?

When is transportation to/from site/construction & raw resource to processing location/port even considered in this process? At a 30,000 foot level years before required?

Is there a dire need for proactive logistics review, thought development & design?

Engineering & other direct stakeholders such as mining, energy & oil always are seeking industry expertise to guide them with complex challenges in getting resource sites up and running quickly.

All can attest and are aware that remote locations where a majority of resource organizations functions are challenging environments.

Tropical, frozen, altitude, remote, no infrastructure to the resource, governmental challenges, local challenges working with native populations whether in West Africa or West Coast of Canada. Difficult environments for certain.

Engineering design and mobilization challenges in the later stages after local & environmental issues have been resolved. Engineered to move & lift?

Extremely difficult decisions with local leaders, corporate leaders to build relationships that will stand the test of time conceivably over numerous political changes even to a region or country.

Projects approved and then projects delayed. Commodity prices in line with development and then a crash that puts many projects back on the shelf. Mergers and acquisitions causing uncertainty in the resource markets. Changing global economic needs for commodities produced whether coal, oil or other.

One thing that remains constant through the market gyrations we have now become accustomed to is the ability/stability of a true project logistics service provider to provide top level service.

Hoping these sources of added intelligence for complex mobilizations, engineering design, transportation options to and from site are high on the list of required relationships to add a foundation of understanding long before it actually becomes a critical need.

Why add logistics to the list of challenges? Why not add logistics to the list of solutions?

In addition to strong & deep relationships needed at local levels, one should consider the need for support to mobilize equipment to site. Global suppliers, international reach, experienced people, innovative ideas are all part of the solution a full service global project logistics provider supplies on a daily basis.

With project progression & maturity through the life cycle, the picture becomes a little more focused every day. It is certain that for any success to be accomplished this requires massive planning and effort by many parties involved in many areas.

We are happy to be involved in such a challenging & dynamic environment and look forward to our chance to highlight our services.

Transportation design and front-end assistance & review, ongoing mine support, module moves, oil-rig mobilization & supply, chemical plant demobilization, wind turbine transportation, solar facilities, remote area transportation, route studies, engineering review - all things our global team can perform.

Any questions about project logistics before they become costly and time consuming issues please connect for a further review with our global team!
