Project Logistics Manager, based in Tunis (for an international logistics company)

Key Responsibilities:·??????? Planning, Coordination, and Supervision:?Oversee multimodal transport operations with a maritime focus from conception to delivery.·??????? Port Captain Duties:?Assume responsibility as Port Captain, including supervising loading and unloading operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and coordinating with port authorities, operators, suppliers, shippers, and customers.·??????? Risk Assessments and Emergency Planning:?Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for operations in crisis areas.·??????? Stakeholder Collaboration:?Work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.·??????? Regulatory Compliance:?Ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.·??????? Cargo Inspections and Evaluations:?Perform inspections and assessments of cargo, prepare reports on the condition and quantity of freight, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.·??????? Hazardous Materials Management:?Oversee the handling of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.·??????? Operational Problem-Solving:?Resolve and communicate operational issues and conflicts.·??????? Reporting:?Report to project management, key account managers, and clients on project progress and status.·??????? Strategy Development and Implementation:?Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures.·??????? Relationship Management:?Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.Requirements:·??????? Experience:?Extensive experience in maritime and logistics operations within international multimodal transport or a comparable qualification.·??????? Crisis Management:?Experience working in crisis areas and handling emergency situations.·??????? Hazardous Materials Knowledge:?In-depth knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and requirements.·??????? Communication Skills:?Excellent communication skills.·??????? Travel Willingness:?Willingness to undertake extensive travel, including to crisis areas.·??????? Language Proficiency:?Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
