Project Engineer mechanical biased

You’ll be…

• Defining scope with responsibility for engineering and constructability
• Managing risk and ensuring task quality
• Preparing overall project costs and schedules
• Supporting the Project Manager with development of the project programme
• Contributing to process risk assessments (PRA’s)
• Liaising with construction teams to gather information
• Facilitating a team of Engineers in the development of a fully detailed and approved detail design
• Managing the procurement and expedition of equipment and materials
• Liaising with planning dept to provide accurate resource and schedule information
• Facilitating technical and project reviews and approvals
• Supporting the construction and commissioning phases of the project
• Taking responsibility of the project(s) hand over and completion
• Responsible for HSEQ engagement

You’ll need…

• HNC minimum qualification in an Engineering discipline
• A mechanical background
• Petrochemical brownfield site experience
• 10+ years’ experience in an equivalent role
• Experience in a COMAH Tier 1 process manufacturing environment
• Experience in maintenance, shutdown / outage, project, OPEX & CAPEX
• Experience of all major engineering disciplines – mechanical, structural, piping, EC&I, civil, process, etc.
• Strong IT skills – MS Office, drafting tools, document databases, specialist engineering design tools
• Proficiency in risk management
• Planning and scheduling skills
• Strong presentation skills
