Progressively Moving Forward

Progressively Moving Forward

This week I have listened, observed and continued to learn. I've allowed myself a bit of time in the morning and again at the end of the day to keep myself updated with the current COVID-19 pandemic happening in our world.

I've realized that most people are finally getting 'self care'. They are seeing the benefit of slowing down, going back to 'easy' and that we really only need our basic needs to live and survive.

Self-Care is not a strategy for you because of the pandemic. It's a daily practice coupled with a mindset of putting oneself first to be healthy and whole. If you are not healthy you are no good to anyone, your employer, your family, your friends, your clients, etc...

Intuition management has been a key element for my leadership. April 2020 was going to be the date I took my Women's Self-Care Conference to the UK. A year ago my 'gut' told me not to go. Interesting...

I've created my life by design only to realize that I returned to the basics of having 'enough' in each area of my life many years ago. Meaning over money. People over profit. This has been my philosophy and mantra since I started as an entrepreneur in May, 1990.

I choose to volunteer while I work full time. When I am often asked why, my answer is simple, "Because I can".

Being home these last few weeks has reinforced many things to me including I am exactly where I am supposed to be. I allow myself to reflect, shed some tears for our world, get outside and rejuvenate my spirit, laugh out loud and connect to a minimum of 5 people a day to allow myself to care and be who I really am.

We will not be returning to the world as we know.

We will not be returning to what was our normal.

This is a true universal message to all humankind to realize that our earth has simply had enough. There is no lack. There is a interpretation or perception that we need more. We don't.

Being kind costs nothing.

It's time to reflect. Enjoy your family. Cook again. Bake again. Dance and laugh because you have time. Quality time with family with no outside obligations separating you.

No demands.

No deadlines.

New schedules.

New ways.

It's time to adapt as your life is depending on it.

Find all the 'little' things that you used to smile about like your favourite sweatshirt to wear or that movie you watch over and over.

It's time to create or pull out that list of things you've always wanted to do and there's never enough time.

I've embraced being home. I have all I need.

Love this. It really is the perfect time to reconnect with what values and the people we hold dear...and most of all to reconnect with ourselves.
