To spread the light of education is a mantle that only the noblest of us embrace and carry. tahira tanvir is one of those individuals who work tirelessly to spread knowledge to all those deserving. She is an incredible woman of Pakistan, who is the Managing #director of the well-prestigious Imperial International School & College Islamabad.

Her journey to success as an educationist was filled with hard work and struggle. She joined the esteemed profession of education as an external examiner for the Home Economics College in 1983. She later joined Beaconhouse School System in the year 1988 as a member of the teaching faculty. Gradually and steadily, she learned a lot to become an amazing compassionate teacher with great leadership skills. Her hard work and determination did not go unnoticed. Her struggle bore fruit when she was promoted to the position of Headmistress and ended up heading 8 Beaconhouse Schools in different cities across the country including Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Kharian, Jhelum, Sialkot, etc. This experience gave her a wide range of skills, such as #decisionmaking skills, #leadership skills, #analytical skills, #management skills, #mentoring skills, and #problemsolvingskills.

Her growth mindset, as well as entrepreneurial skills, proved to be the most valuable as they enabled her to take over the Imperial International School & College Islamabad in the year 2004. She was able to turn around the withering institution and bring it to new levels of achievement. One of her most essential contributions was to bring a new era of internationalism to the institute. An example can be, collaborating with various schools in the UK under the umbrella of the 英国文化协会 as part of Connecting Classroom Programs. This linked students from UK and Pakistan together to promote the intercultural mingling of students. Another good example is the Islamabad Japanese School students visiting the Imperial International School & College. This allowed Japanese students to meet with Pakistani students to promote connection at a grass-root level between the youth of the 2 countries.

Ms. Tahira Tanvir managed to develop the institute and bring about a great wave of progress. In a short period, she had established three campuses in Islamabad, and one in Rawalpindi. Carving out a place for herself in the education spectrum in Islamabad. Now she has improved a lot in the world of education and has managed to make a great name for herself in this industry.

What Ms. Tahira Tanvir has taught us is simple. Work hard and pursue your passion with full determination and you shall receive the result. Make a name for yourself in this world and thrive to bring about a layer of progress in your society.
