Progress Follows the Truth
“Denying the truth doesn’t change the facts.”
Many of our problems in life are the result of lies.
We hide the facts or leave some of them out for fear of embarrassment or hurting someone or simply just not wanting to being accountable.
The First Lie
I know in my own life when things are not going as planned it usually begins with a self-told lie. When…
- relationships are strained
- sales are down
- health is sucking
Whatever the issue, it almost always leads back to me lying to myself first.
“I have been making a huge effort in this relationship.” Really? Let’s look at my calendar and see how much time I invest in it.
“The leads are just no good, that’s why sales are low.” How about getting training or actually practicing what you’re learning…or not wasting so much time avoiding what top sales people do with theirs?
“I don’t have time to workout.” Nice try. The real issue is that it’s not a priority. You have time to check email, share stupid memes on Facebook and several other things each day. You can find 30 minutes.
No More Missed Opportunities
There are many opportunities each day to take full accountability for who and what we are. There are many opportunities to get real. Every moment presents an opportunity to grow. Open your eyes and tell yourself the truth first. All progress follows that.
