The Program After the Program: A Journey Beyond Launch

Every new system launch is a milestone, but what often goes unnoticed is the critical effort that follows— “The Program After the Program.” It’s during this phase that an organization’s true commitment to excellence is tested, and at Brinks Home, it’s also where our IT culture really comes into play.

As we recently completed our quarterly demo day.? I was impressed with the progress we’ve made in optimizing our new NextGen sales platform.? Caring for the top concerns of the business and significantly improving system flexibility was a top priority and the team delivered.? After every system launch it’s absolutely critical to meet the challenge of the moment and I couldn’t be more proud of our team for delivering.

In IT at Brinks Home, we know that grit and perseverance are key to any successful project, and this was no exception. After every launch, there will be compromises and complexities. Our approach is simple: tell it like it will be, address the known gaps, and partner with the business to prioritize what matters most. In this case we faced the challenges head-on, working closely with our partners to ensure that key pain points were resolved quickly and effectively.

The work on a new platform doesn’t stop at launch—it evolves. This quarter, we focused on resolving major system defects, improving our automated commissions program, and, most notably, launching a simplified process for handling changes of orders during the provisioning process. Anyone who’s ever dealt with sales automation and physical installations knows how tricky that can be, but our team’s dedication to continuous improvement and collaboration helped make it happen.

Our IT culture demands that we own our accountability and maintain strong relationships across teams. As we continue to refine the NextGen platform, I’m excited to collaborate with our business partners, driven by a shared goal of creating a world-class sales experience.

This quarters refinement is just the beginning. Our team is committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, improving every step of the way, and embodying the values that make IT at Brinks Home thrive.
