Wendy Lee was a total rockstar in the corporate arena. Climbing her way to SVP of HR, it appeared she had it all. But inside her self-worth was eroding away from the abuse of her narcissistic partner. The crisis led her to a life coach that uncovered generational trauma default patterns, and supported her healing journey. The impact was so profound, she eventually ditched the partner and her corporate gig!
In 2018, she founded LeadHERship Revolution? to support women on their healing path. And the cause that Wendy shared with us today is Bay Area Turning Point (BATP). BATP is a non-profit community based social service agency providing services to individuals impacted by family violence and sexual assault. Additionally, the agency operates prevention and awareness services designed to bring an end to sexual and domestic violence.
BATP’s Services:?

- 24 Hour Crisis Hotline. BATP operates a 24/7/365 crisis hotline for victims of sexual and domestic violence
- Shelter Services. BATP Shelter is a safe haven created for survivors of sexual and domestic violence.
- Food Services. BATP’s Food Services program is a basic needs service offered to all shelter clients
- Children Services. The Children’s Services program at BATP provides services for the most fragile of those impacted by sexual and domestic violence.
- Case-Management Services. BATP’s case management services are offered to our shelter based clients on a weekly or as needed basis to assess their needs.
- Advocacy. BATP’s Advocacy Services assist clients who are enrolled in our non shelter services and are seeking recovery from abuse.
- Counseling. Counseling services are offered to adults and children enrolled in shelter and non shelter services that have been directly or indirectly affected by sexual and domestic violence
- Chambers County Counseling/ Advocacy Services. Our Chambers County satellite office is an extension of our main office providing counseling services and advocacy work for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
- Housing Options. BATP Housing Services provides short and medium term rental and financial assistance to victims of sexual and domestic violence who are fleeing abusive situations seeking safe permanent housing options.
- Outreach, Education & Prevention. BATP’s Outreach, Education, and Prevention (OEP) Program engages with social groups and clubs, schools, faith-based and community organizations and stakeholders to bring awareness regarding sexual and domestic violence issues.
Wendy has been a longtime advocate for women that have experienced sexual or domestic abuse. She is a former Board Chair and current supporter of the Bay Area Turning Point.
