Profiting from unsubscribes
Lemme tell you something about my daughter.
She’s nearly 2 and when she sits to have her lunch she loves to watch this cartoon on Youtube.
But she’ll only watch it in a specific way.?
That’s on an iPhone that’s leaning on her water bottle to keep the phone standing upright.
We’ve tried to put the same cartoon on the TV but she won’t watch it. She’ll go get the iPhone and tell us to put it on there.
She has her preferences.
She’s not even 2 yet but she has her preferred media/platform to consume content.?
Mobile.
Your customers are no different.
Some customers like to consume content through video, some through audio, and some through the written word.
Some customers like YouTube, some like Insta, some like Facebook, some like TikTok, some like reading emails.
I mention this because one of my clients asked me to “send fewer emails because people are unsubscribing.”
My answer?
Let them go!?
These people who are complaining about getting emails are not EMAIL BUYERS.
And it’s EMAIL BUYERS who you want on your list.
Some people would prefer to have a big bunch of unqualified people on a list — and then NOT contact them unless they unsubscribe.
It doesn't make sense.
Like, if someone hates YouTube, would you want them subscribing to your YouTube account?

If they hated your video content, would you want them subscribing to you?
Would you then create LESS YouTube content in case it annoyed these subscribers?
No, you’d tell them to “unsubscribe” and go follow someone else.
Letting people leave is good for business.
You wanna hear somethin’ funny?
The same store that wanted “less emails” is now TRIPLING their email sales since working with me, and they’ve had more unsubscribes than ever before.
This is not just theory, I’ve seen the numbers.
We’re in business, right?
Sales, revenue, and profits is the name of the game.
Not “followers” or “subscribers”.
Right, rant over.
If you’re not too timid to send a bunch of emails then read on:

PS
One thing I didn’t mention…
Just because someone “unsubscribes” from your email - it doesn’t mean they still can’t get value from your other marketing platforms.
It’s not a big deal. They’re just not a good match for email marketing. So no need to banish them for good! lol.
