Dear all, Here I bring to the table this subject, which really concerns me, and it shall concern us all.
It is to do profit or take advantage out of the poor, how can that be possible?
It is possible, you can used the critical situation, disaster, casualties, use images and situations, for the benefit of raising money for the sole purpose of not really reaching those in need, it really feeds a fine tune machinary of so called Philantropy or NGO, that finances Continental regional offices, Administrative and Managerial Burocracy that has many steps in order to do any change or to implement new policies, and the brains behind these policies, sometimes are staff that have never even stepped in a rural area or a developing countries.
Lets say that out of a gift of 100Usd perhaps if all goes well, the value of 20 Usd, in training, courses, donations etc, might reach the beneficiary.
The reason why there are organizations that have to be accredited as charity, is a very good idea, so anyone can verify that they comply with the requirements, that endorses them as trust worthy. There are many other charities not only in the developed world but also in developing countries that are not regulated, therefore there is no certainty of their actions and transparency.
Many can create a foundation or NGO, just to prevent a greater taxation, and also receive untaxed funds that might probably not reach any true destination.
I am not going against any organization that wants to do good, it is great, if you really have a true impact, and not only do the small projects and leave it, there will be no lasting effect. You have to give them the ownership and they have to feel involved and been part, by perhaps give something not much that they know it costs. They will take care of it.
If there would be no developing countries or poorness, will the organizations exists? No
If a peasant or a poor person goes to their office just like that, will the security and all other staff let them in? They might think he/she is wanting something that is not good, in many cases, not in all cases.

We must be diligent with money that is not our own, actuaally is of perople and communities that do an effort out of their income, sometimes, not overflow income, they give because they want to make a difference. Accountability is Key.
We are supposed to be all equal and it is not really true.
So next time think if that person could have been your father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, grandfather, grandmother, or even your child. How will you react and behave with what people who are strangers are giving for them?
Now of course if you come from a developed country that might not never happen, of course, but I can tell you there are also persons with financial problems and indigency in all countries. Look in the street, Subway, Public Station, just around you, do you, you really see???
This is just a reflection to myself first as well as for those who wish to read this.
Hopefully no one will make money out of poorness.
