Queens Sport in Belfast is delighted to host the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) level 1 Strength and Conditioning award on the 4th and 5th December.
Queens sport has a long term commitment to producing world class elite athletes through its highly prestigious Elite Athlete Programme. Hosting the ASCA Level 1 further strengthens Queens Sport long term strategic plan to keep improving its standing as a world class sports provider.The ASCA provides coaching programs for all levels of coaches – these programs are registered with the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS).
ASCA Accreditation identifies individuals who possess the knowledge and skill to design, implement and review safe and effective S&C training programs. In addition to this the ASCA provides high-level professional support, development and research opportunities while continuing to enhance education for S&C Coaches.
The ASCA is governed by a Board that oversees the strategic direction of the whole Association. The Board is made up of a cross-section of industry leaders, all currently employed in the S&C sector, ensuring that the ASCA is at the forefront of industry practice. The ASCA is recognised internationally as an industry leader via affiliates across the globe and currently has thousands of accredited coaches involved in coaching athletes/teams at all levels of participation from the club through to Olympic and professional sporting levels.?
