It is high time while Human instinct Must dominate & take over commercial/economic/trade approach. Migrant concerns has unwrapped portrait of disparity across in India while the News & Views around are questioning current decision of administrative lockdown. With blame game, we are still glued to commercial agenda – Economic aspirations & human greed.
Highlighting migrant concerns is utmost important and media, individuals have rightfully done it so. This enables support to helpless and Kudos to many who did Selfless work – exhibiting Empathy in these times. Let us salute those too who contributed altruistically right from businessmen, working professionals, daily wagers & specially ones who sacrificed savings of their lifetimes. These are free minds who hold Humanity high, cultivate faith & generate confidence that “This too shall pass”
We need to be considerate and sensitive regarding people who help us around – Drivers, Laborers, Cleaners, domestic helps... Foregoing negotiator approach for couple of Hundreds while throwing lavishly on articles of discretion is something to be introspected. Do you think branded undergarments have ever won over infertility woes in men? We are still not able to negotiate couple of hundreds of them even.
Let us not call this an Economic disparity as the concern is much bigger, being that of Human diaspora & disparity where one is pressed hard to opt for a job at a place far from his own town where he toils hard in inhospitable conditions with no social security. He struggles on all fronts against weather, health, food, children’s education. Life ping pongs where Maslow had just started pondering over his thoughts.
Incessant hunger of professional growth, property, Land, Cars, Travel, gadgets brands, lifestyle – Competition & Comparison is eating us and if fallout of pandemic is even not able to convey us the same, Tollywood can only convey it later. Passion has been mistaken by shrewdness and we saw the fallout- Migrants still struggling for basics.
Education system can contribute significantly in laying this foundation which unfortunately has dried up from past few decades. Educare holds the key –An approach. Holding a degree from prestigious institutions also gives a responsibility of paying back which many does but most don’t. While we rise in our careers and our economic needs saturate against requirements, we never think of society around us – even many abandon relationships and families. Aspirations are not at all bad and we all should climb high but with a social responsibility. Experiencing life with lens of trade, economics, aspirations only digs a grave for self in long run.
Apart from educationists, my appeal is to all business houses & other organizations – Develop professional Sainthood- Your actions will make many evolve. Else pandemic of Human disparity should not devastate us one day which seems no distant!
Hands that serve are holier than lips that pray – Helping one in need gives contentment & satisfaction over any other material feat.
Professional Sainthood is the need of the hour. There is a long list to emulate - few are famous but many Live in our vicinity or may be next door!
