Professional & Personal Harvests
Thanksgiving is next week, I can’t believe it. This time of the year is fitting for reflection, gratitude, and compassion. 2023 flew by and I am deeply grateful for such hardworking associates, farmers, and partners who make it all possible. At PAB, this year’s harvest was wildly successful and I feel confident about where our business is headed as we go into 2024.?
While many of you might not be managing actual harvests the way we do at PAB, I hope you still feel similarly about your own teams’ performance and successes, whatever they look like. However, if you find yourself struggling or failing in those endeavors, I encourage you to keep working at it. Approach issues from different angles, ask good questions, and be open to new solutions.
Along with our professional “harvests,” personal ones also vary depending on who you talk to. Some co-workers can’t wait to spend extra time with loved ones during the holidays while others dread and even avoid it. Strained relationships, long-distance family members, and less-than-ideal home situations can all feel like unsuccessful harvests in one way or another.?
If you are blessed with friends and family who all live near each other and get along, please be mindful of those who aren’t so fortunate. Look for those who need a little extra compassion, or maybe even an invitation to join in on your holiday celebrations. We all need each other, no matter what our own harvest season looks like.
