A Professional Introducer Network
The future is the past – returning and rediscovering old fashioned out of passion business values: “is your word really your bond?”
“Things” are complicated today; they were complicated yesterday (by the standards of the time) and will be complicated tomorrow…
Ideological and other new-fangled gimmicks of one sort or another occasionally pop-up and tempt the unwary into wasting diminishing resources into a panacea that rarely produces any real practical benefits - especially when you look and tinker underneath the cover or unwrap the “gift” box?
If you are a relatively new Professional Service Firm, SME or solopreneur of one kind or another; and wish to expand your commercial horizons then it may be worth exploring the idea of expanding your professional “introducer” business network?? It will not be a complete waste of time and resources; this “investment” takes time to nurture, but, ultimately, will help you and your enterprise to prosper over the long haul.
Having a vast “network” of itself is pointless because any “relationship” will, even with the best of intentions, ultimately end-up being somewhat superficial and lack the necessary depth and attention needed – being unable to really get to understand one another’s commercial needs.
Nor should it be purely “transaction-led”; the objective is always to build meaningful relationships that are not only mutually beneficial for the parties involved but also productive for the wider network community members in some way.? Which may involve, for instance, sharing problem solving techniques, case studies, caveats, technical knowledge, other useful resources and professional contacts – that collectively may be of some help to the other partners now or in the future?

Some professional bodies may have strict compliance requirements that require a particular formal agreement to be put into place, on what may be considered reasonable terms?? For others, you may wish to contemplate more informal arrangements, on an ad hoc basis that handsomely reward the introducing party either financially or by delivering a brilliant service/product for their client that fully addresses and satisfactorily resolves a particular pain-point?
Where practical “protect” each member’s best interests (personal and commercial) where you suspect that something is not quite right (even if only intuitively) – sometimes you will, no doubt, be wrong but at other times you may well help (with the benefit of hindsight) to prevent a potential catastrophe?
Respect, trust, integrity etc. do matter in business – your reputation in conclusion is your “bond!”
