Productronica was a fantastic experience this time.

I learned much about the automotive electronics supply chain and met with several companies that had developed new materials and specialty chemicals for it. I saw a new solder mask inkjet printer that looked like it would actually work in production. I met the company that made the light heads for direct LED imaging systems (solder mask and primary), I saw updates in fine line direct imaging by broad spectrum laser systems. I saw new selective conformal coating systems. I met with new equipment builders from Poland who supply German (and other) companies with tanks and wet process systems, I saw new platforms for component placement as well as advances in AOI inspection of assembled boards. I saw old friends and made new ones. The pretzels, beer and schnitzel was great! Now I have to digest it all - the new knowledge as well as the food!
